Our Services ~ Parent Groups
In today’s changing society, parents, grandparents and guardians benefit from programs that help strengthen the family unit. We will help families meet their needs through programs of service and empowerment carried out in active collaboration with neighborhoods and other service providers. These services are offered in a series of eight sessions that run for a six period for two hours a session. These workshops include any of the following subjects depending on parent need:
- Discipline techniques that are effective and reduce cases of child abuse.
- Family communications; verbal and nonverbal.
- Problem solving within the family unit.
- Drug prevention presentation; this is a current issue in the blended family (step-parent, step-children) household.
All seminars include handouts, video presentation, speakers and hand-on activities.
